i needed an electric fireplace to put under a mantel anchored on a bare wall. I have it sitting on a 4 inch thick stone slab. It is an attractive compliment to my small livingroom.

We like this fireplace a lot. It was extremely easy to setup. Just plug it in and press the button. It has 3 settings: Flame only, flame with fan, and flame with heat. The flame is actually very very realistic and gives great ambience to the room. The heater works great too, though of course it isn't a raging inferno or anything. We put this in a 1900 renovated house where the fireplaces do not work, so this was a quick and easy way to get a fireplace working, and it fit perfectly in the opening. Highly recommended, haven't had any problems and use it all the time. I wish it were a little less expensive though because we have 9 more fireplaces!

I installed in in an old Franklyn stove we have had for years and just love. I had to cut a little out of it so it would fit, but it went in just so smooth you would think the Frankln came that way, it is absolutly perfec. I am just a little concerned about spare parts and talked to the US distributer he assures me they will be there but you know I am tempted to buy another for just for spare parts, you can tell we really love this purchase
