    I bought this fireplace based on its good reviews but I am disapointed in its overal performance. It has an attractive mantel and it was easy to put together but I think the firebox insert is a poor design. First of all, to get at the light bulbs, you have to remove the front glass panel, take out the logs, and unscrew the log grate. This is not difficult, I just think it is a nusance. For a [$]product, I expect better ease of maintenance. The logs are made of a very cheap material, almost like styrafoam. The flame is not as realistic as other people indicated and the heater does not give off enough heat. I think this fireplace is over priced and I would not recommend it to anyone.

      I purchased this fireplace as a decorative piece for our main living room upstairs. The cherry finish is absolutley beautiful. It was easy to put together and is very sturdy. I am completely satisifed with it. It was well worth the money. The flame actually looks real when it is turned on. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
