Hardwood and veneer paneling and an arched baseboard comprise the frame, while a rich Java finish adds protection and distinction.

The Monterey Home Theater requires no outside venting; simply plug the unit into any standard 120-volt outlet and it's ready for use. This home theater unit includes a slim-line remote control with the following functions:
- Heat– On/Off button toggles heat between the highest setting and off
- Standby– Switches all functions on or off to the previous setting
- Volume– Up/down controls the 5 volume levels
- Flame– Up/down controls for the 5 brightness settings
- Crackle– Three settings: crackle and wind, crackle only, and sound off
